Takbo Maharlika Run

Rejoice with us in praising God! At 7Am today Takbo Maharlika team reached Zamboanga City Port ending a 7 month run of 2,387 km (83% of Maharlika highway allowed to TM) covering 11 regions, 30 provinces, 13 chartered cities outside Metro Manila with EDSA from Valenzuela to Muntinlupa. Truly coming together to change ourselves and the Philippines one step at a time. General Tucay, Myself and our team rediscovered the joys of sacrifice and service. Takbo Maharlika run in Cebu

TM's Cebu Run with the CPNP. A run jived with PDG Nicanor Bartolome's call to Bishop Joe Palma. About 500 PNP, AFP and civilian runners started at 3 different ppints merging at the finish line, the Mandaue Sports Center. TM team joined C, PNP in the 5k run with General George Piano, General Ric Marquez and other senior officers joining us too. Fr Melo again by divine arrangements,we believe, was able to lead the prayers in the 5k and 7k starting areas where most of runners were. The rain came before the run, stopped when we started the run and resumed when we reached the finished line. No incidences we believe. A forum, quickly followed after again giving Fr Melo time to talk about TM. Mayor Cortez of also Mandaue graced the occasion. The cap of the day was the personal visit of the CPNP and the other generals to Bishop Joe Palma. Very fruitful side trip/run to Cebu indeed. 1,572 kms as of this run. Misa de Gallo starts tommorow. TM will give way to the LORD. See you in January. :)

Takbo Maharlika Forum @ PNP PRO 7

The forum at the PNP regional director, PCSupt Omar Garbo, welcoming us. The room was filled with about 25 representatives from the PNP and AFP Central Command; 30 women from Cebu's nutrition council; staff, and 20 others from media, runner's club (ultramarathoners/barefoot runners) and the Dilaab network. A very positive atmosphere for planned run sometime March 2012.

Wanna BET Youth Fun Run

We had the WBY fun run last Saturday 8 October. Again, the run featured the partnership between Dilaab and the PNP and AFP. The run hopes to show that we are serious about our outreach to youth in partnership with these two government agencies. This was a follow-through to our fun run last April 9. Whatever funds may be raised (i.e. registration and singlet sales) will go to our scholarship funds. We have designed a one-year initiation-formation framework for youth and now in the process of applying this. Prayers please.
